Kansas State Long Term Care Ombudsman Camille Russell will present “A Person-Centered Approach to Crisis Preparation” on January 27th with a repeat offering on February 9th. This interactive learning opportunity will cover a specific approach to communicate a person’s wants and needs when they are without the direct support of their family, friends, neighbors or caregivers (for example, when an older person is transferred to a hospital, doctor’s office or other setting.) The session is based on person-centered thinking, planning, and practice.
