More than 50 years ago, the founders of LeadingAge National stated, “We are here to ensure that every older person has the right and the opportunity to develop his or her full human potential, regardless of age.”

This remains true today.  We are all aging.  This shared experience means we have a vested interest in working together to create a society without negative bias toward older adults. A society that respects the wisdom and experience that comes with age, embraces differences, and acknowledges aging as a part of life. Let’s change the conversation about aging to show that it is simply part of our life journey, full of choices, opportunity, and joy at every age.  Learn more about why LeadingAge chose An America Freed From Ageism as its new vision and download resources and tools to begin your organization’s introspection and conversation today.
