Hospice agencies are required to submit their Aggregate Cap Report for the cap year ended September 30, 2023, by February 29, 2024. The cap year-end and filing deadline are the same for all Medicare hospice providers. Hospices that do not file by the deadline may be subject to a suspension of Medicare hospice reimbursement. The hospice aggregate cap value for the 2023 filing is $32,486.92. The data filed by hospices is used by the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission (MedPAC) to make recommendations to Congress on hospice payment.
