A charitable donor was moved by the care and testimony of a CNA that cared for him and wanted to build the direct care workforce in the area. This project is such a blessing and creates an atmosphere in a community where these workers are held in high regard. The cost of the class, books, background checks, meals, etc. are all paid for. After the students complete, there will also be a reception with area employers. The direct care workforce is faced with a daunting task in the upcoming years as Baby Boomers retire and need care. As we all know, this area is already understaffed. Building a caring, competent direct care workforce in individual communities in where it needs to start. Kudos to Ellsworth for taking the initiative to support their community!
