A new LeadingAge Learning Hub webinar will explore the implications of the new Department of Labor rule, effective March 11, 2024, that creates new federal standards governing the determination of whether a worker is an employee or an independent contractor. The practical application of the final rule will likely result in more workers being classified as employees under the Fair Labor Standards Act, classification policies and practices.

On the webinar, Hayley Degnan and Jennifer G. Prozinski, both of Venable LLP, will review the regulatory changes, including the new six-factor economic reality test for worker classification and help providers understand the risks and potential consequences of misclassification. Learn more and register for the March 4th, 1:00 – 2:30 PM CST webinar here
