Read the 2016 Innovative Research on Aging, published by Matherlifeways Institute on Aging.

The Innovative Research on Aging Awards recognize excellent applied research that offers important implications for senior living.

For 2016, Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging reviewed submissions from 54 researchers on a wide range of topics, including health and well-being of senior living residents, technological advancements for older adults, senior living workforce, and aging in place. The winners were selected based on the quality of their research; the actionable research findings and recommendations; relevance to important problems in senior living; and innovation.

Sharing this important research reinforces our commitment to encouraging innovation throughout all areas that affect older adults. We hope these findings and ideas will benefit the senior living industry as a whole, as other organizations adapt the ideas and help transform them into best practices.
