The 2019 Call for Educational Presentations is still open for submissions.

LeadingAge Kansas has nearly 100 educational opportunities each year including conferences, day-long workshops, and webinars. We are looking for expert educators on topics important to our members in the current long-term care climate that are intentional about presenting in an interactive format.

Educational offerings
You are invited to submit presentation ideas for consideration at Education Events, including:

  • MDS Workshop – February
  • Spring Joint Provider – April
  • LeadingAge Kansas 2019 Spring Conference – May 7 – 8, Wichita
  • Hands – On Caregiver Workshop – June
  • Workforce Summit – July
  • Assisted Living Summit – August
  • Undecided Workshop – September (considering education towards clerical management, billing, HR, etc.)
  • Policy and Leadership Conference – October 2 – 3, Kansas City
  • Nurse Leaders Conference – November

Stephanie Gfeller, MS, LACHA is the Director of Education and Leadership. Stephanie joined the association in 2019 and oversees the development of our education programs, writes and manages all of our federal grant programs, and leads our Center for Leadership program. With her master’s degree in Gerontology from Kansas State University, adult care home administrator license, experience as a researcher and instructor at the K State Center on Aging, and endless creativity, Stephanie is ideally suited to her leadership role in our field. Outside of work Stephanie enjoys reading, supporting her kids at all their activities, serving as a 4-H club leader, and being outside helping on her family farm.
