1. As we are nearly into our second full month of PDPM – we are starting to see some data trends that are insightful. Check out this article in McKnight’s and see if there are any opportunities for your organization to improve upon.
  2. As we near the end of the year, the State should have taken back the majority of Kansas providers for Medicaid application processing. At this time, we haven’t heard any feedback to the negative. Please let me know how this transition is going for you. The Association has regular meetings with State leadership and would be glad to pass along any news on your behalf.
  3. Sunflower has an updated check run. Due to the upcoming holidays for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s and Martin Luther King holidays, Sunflower Health Plan’s check runs are planned as follows:
      • Normal check run schedule week of Christmas
      • Normal check run schedule week of New Year’s
      • Checks issued Wednesday, January 22, 2020, and Friday, January 24, 2020, for the week of January 20

USPS Holiday Mail Delays and PaySpan (EFT/ERA): Due to the holidays and increased USPS mail volume, providers may experience slower than usual receipt of paper checks and remittance advice through USPS. Sunflower is pleased to partner with PaySpan Health to provide an innovative web based solution for Electronic Funds Transfers (EFTs) and Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs).
