The regulatory environment of nursing homes throughout the country has escalated to a point where many nursing homes are facing significant financial burdens related to enforcement action. As a nursing home leader, it is often difficult to maintain knowledge of all the requirements in each regulation while you’re working through the day-to-day happenings of the department you supervise. We are pleased to partner with LeadingAge Iowa to provide this monthly webinar series throughout 2024 reviewing the regulations contained in Appendix PP of the State Operations Manual.

The Regulation Review will provide attendees with a detailed review of the regulations including the regulatory language, interpretative guidance, examples of noncompliance, and strategies to maintain compliance. Topics include:

  • Resident Rights
  • Abuse
  • Admission, Discharge, MDS and Care Planning
  • Nursing Home Administration
  • Quality of Life and Behavioral Health
  • Quality of Care
  • Dietary and Food Service
  • Nursing and Physical Services
  • Environmental Services
  • Outside Services
  • QAPI
