On November 28, CMS published the performance of 15,000+ Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) on the 30-day all-cause hospital readmission measure required under the SNF Value-Based Payment(VBP) program showing each named SNF’s baseline (CY2015) readmission rate, CY2017 performance year readmission rate and how their Medicare fee-for-service payments will be impacted for FY2019 (a.k.a. incentive payment multiplier).

For the state of Kansas, we had 27% of the homes with a Multiplier of 1.0 or higher. 24% of Not for Profit homes had a Multiplier of 1.0 or higher. For Profit was 29%. The average Incentive Payment Multiplier for the state is .99098. Kansas ranks 40th in the nation on the Average Incentive Payment Multiplier and 30th on the Average Readmission Rate.
