Join Dr. Robert Moser to discuss screening tools and how to decrease the proportion of septic patients.

  • The virtual LTC Sepsis class is a free. This is one hour long and has been approved for 1.0 CE credit by the Area Health Education Center (AHEC)
  • Dr. Robert Moser, the Dean of the University of Kansas school of Medicine- Salina facilitates the trainings
  • Attendees can gather in a room as social distancing allows or they can log on via there induvial devises. Every participate will be required to register through edds to sign in, even if they are not requesting CE credits
  • We are able to offer two virtual presentations with your staff, these can be the same day or not. The main goal is to capture as many staff members as possible
  • The same material will be presented at each class and we can be flexible on class times based on our shift changes, the key to adoption is participation
  • Facilities are encouraged to invite all aides and nursing staff to the training.  Some facilities train the entire staff to improve outcomes
  • Once the class date and times have been confirmed I will send a calendar invite along with a zoom registration link you can forward to your staff. 
  • Please keep in mind we are scheduling trainings for many communities so date are subject to change and are booked as a first come first serve basic.

Tuesday Oct 6th – 8 AM to Noon
Tuesday Oct. 13th – 11 AM to 3 PM
Friday Oct. 16th- 1 PM to 5 PM
Wednesday Oct 21st – 8 AM to 5 PM
Tuesday Oct. 27th  – 8 AM to 5 PM

Stephanie Gfeller, MS, LACHA is the Director of Education and Leadership. Stephanie joined the association in 2019 and oversees the development of our education programs, writes and manages all of our federal grant programs, and leads our Center for Leadership program. With her master’s degree in Gerontology from Kansas State University, adult care home administrator license, experience as a researcher and instructor at the K State Center on Aging, and endless creativity, Stephanie is ideally suited to her leadership role in our field. Outside of work Stephanie enjoys reading, supporting her kids at all their activities, serving as a 4-H club leader, and being outside helping on her family farm.
