By Teresa McComb, Board Chair, LeadingAge Kansas

Greetings LeadingAge Kansas members. I wanted to update you on what is happening with our CEO search. Since Debra’s retirement at the end of the year was announced a month ago, a Search Committee has been appointed to begin the process of finding her successor. The Committee consists of four LeadingAge Kansas Board members and two “at-large” members. They are Teresa McComb, Committee Chair, Karen Sturchio, Cheyenne Strunk, Shawn Sullivan, Bill Taylor, and Kevin Reimer. Nancy Hooks with LeadingAge National is serving as process advisor for the Committee. She has assisted several other LeadingAge State Partners in this manner. The Committee will start meeting soon and they will put together a CEO job description, a job posting, establish selection criteria, and then will begin the interview process. We hope to have a job posting ready to go out in the near future.
