During a meeting with United Healthcare representatives last week, the topic of HCBS in the Assisted Living setting was discussed. LeadingAge Kansas shared members’ frustration with the low reimbursement rates, with members reporting an approximate 50% or less of costs being reimbursed through KanCare. United Healthcare representatives indicated that their company is willing to work with members on negotiating rates for these residents, on a case-by-case basis.
