On April 25, KING held its 28th Annual Meeting during the LeadingAge Kansas Spring Conference in Wichita. After a delicious lunch, members received the annual financial and investment report, and the Third Party Administrator report from Ed Reasoner with Thomas McGee Group. Ed’s report included slides that illustrated the historical performance of KING as well as state and national trends. The KING Board Class of 2021 was elected including Janell Wohler (2nd term), Administrator at Linn Community Nursing Home; and Laura O’Neil (1st full term), Administrator at Frankfort Community Care Home. Kevin McFarland recognized several KING members for their excellence in loss control during the 2017-18 policy year.

During the KING Board meeting, Michael Smith was elected Chair of the Board for the 2018-19 year. Janell Wohler, Administrator at Linn Community Nursing Home, was elected Secretary/Treasurer.

Tina Andres is the Director of Administrative Operations. Since joining LeadingAge Kansas in 2001, Tina has held many different roles during her time at the association. Her current focus is overseeing accounting, human resources, and office management. Having attended Kansas State University and Pratt Business College with an emphasis in accounting, Tina utilizes her education and work experience to provide accounting functions for LeadingAge Kansas, LeadingAge Kansas Employee Benefits, Inc. (EBI), LeadingAge Kansas Foundation and KING. Tina is passionate about being a team player and is willing to help others in all capacities.
