The quality measures thresholds on the Nursing Home Care Compare site will recalibrate with this week’s quarterly refresh. This recalibration dates back to a change originally announced in October 2019, scheduled for April 2020, and postponed due to COVID. CMS sent an announcement in late March that the recalibration would take place with the April refresh and will adjust ratings thresholds by half the average rate of improvement from April 2019 – January 2022. Recalibration will then take place every 6 months going forward. More information including QM scores for the April thresholds can be found in the Nursing Home Care Compare Technical Users Guide.
