The 2018 Nominating Committee met recently and selected the following slate of candidates for election at the membership meeting on April 25th, in conjunction with the Spring Conference:

  • Chair – Crystal Packard, Administrator of Good Samaritan Society Ellsworth and Minneapolis
  • Chair Elect – Ed Strahm, Executive Director of Apostolic Christian Home, Sabetha
  • 2nd term – Lonnie Baker, CEO of Meadowlark Hills, and Autumn Hills in Manhattan and Riley
  • 2nd term – Rhonda Parks, Director of Regional Operations of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America
  • 1st term – Ryan Endsley, Vice President of Operations , Ascension Senior Living

Other board members include: Nate Glendening, Jason Stucky, Joe Ewert, Amy Hoch Altwegg, Jamie Frazier, James Krehbiel, Courtney Wolfe, Chris Osborn, Karen Sturchio and Teresa McComb.

Kevin Reimer will be retiring from the LeadingAge Kansas Board on April 25, having served on the Board since 2007, including terms as Chair, Chair-Elect and Finance Committee member and Nominating Committee Chair and member. Rachel Monger, JD, LACHA is President/CEO. Rachel joined LeadingAge Kansas in 2011 as the Director of Government Affairs and has been a powerful voice for our membership ever since. Rachel is a Kansas licensed attorney and adult care home administrator. She received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Over the years, Rachel has served in many volunteer roles in her community and in the state of Kansas to support senior needs, aging services education, and community mental health services. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund. As an award-winning trial lawyer, turned award-winning senior care advocate, she has spent nearly two decades passionately supporting quality of care and quality of life for Kansas seniors.
