Here is an article that discusses the details of the new measures being added to the SNF Quality Reporting Program and Value-Based Purchasing Program in next couple of years. In addition, it discusses the significant changes coming to the SNF VBP program as new measures are added to this program for the first time. Given these changes, CMS is proposing changes to how performance scores and incentive payments are calculated for SNFs. It is important to remember that each of these programs impact 2% of a SNF’s Medicare rate for a total of 4% that can be lost or gained depending upon how they report and/or perform on the included measures.
