Periodically, browser versions change which can have an impact on Kansas Medical Assistance Program (KMAP) website users. The KMAP websites function optimally when the appropriate operating system, platform, and settings are in place.
The operating system must be Windows 7 or later. The KMAP websites require the latest version of Internet Explorer (IE) available for the operating system currently running to operate optimally.
The compatibility features will need to be enabled.
To enable these settings:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Go to the KMAP website.
- Click the Tools tab under the web address box.
- Select Compatibility View settings on the drop-down list.
- The web address will appear in the Add this website box of the open window.
- Click the Add button.
- Click the Close button.
The KMAP website will now be under the list of Websites you’ve added to Compatibility View. Note: Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari are not supported. The KMAP websites cannot be accessed on Android or Apple devices or on any type of smartphone.
The TLS settings must be enabled for the KMAP website.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Go to the KMAP website.
- Click the Tools tab under the web address box.
- Select Internet options on the drop-down list.
- Click the Advanced tab on the open window.
- Under the Security heading, check Use TLS 1.0, Use TLS 1.1, and Use TLS 1.2.
- Click the Apply button.
- Click OK to close the window.
Note: In some cases, the TLS settings are greyed out and cannot be changed. They have been locked by an administrator, and the user must contact their technical support team and advise them of the recommended changes.
