Desi Flerlage has been named executive director at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor. She will assume the role January 10th.
“We are excited to welcome Desi back to PMMA,” said Bill Taylor, chief operating officer for PMMA. “Desi began her PMMA career at Salina Presbyterian Manor in 2008 before leaving to pursue other opportunities in 2020.”
Flerlage held numerous positions at Salina Presbyterian Manor, including assistant health services director, director of nursing and executive director.
“I am thrilled with the opportunity to come back to PMMA,” Flerlage said. “When I left, it was one of the hardest decisions I had ever made, and it turns out that deciding to return was the easiest decision I have ever made.”
A graduate of Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, Flerlage received a bachelor’s of science in nursing. She served as class president in her senior year and continues to be involved with the university as a member of the Kansas Wesleyan School of Nursing Advisory Board.
PMMA has 15 senior living communities and two hospices in Kansas and Missouri and a new senior living community under development in Colorado Springs. The not-for-profit organization is headquartered in Wichita, Kan.
