CMS sent “important updates on the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP}” recently. As noted in the CMS email, “Swingtech sends informational messages to hospices related to the Quality Reporting Program (QRP) on a quarterly basis. Their latest outreach communication can be found on the HQRP Requirements and Best Practices webpage. If you want to receive Swingtech’s quarterly emails, then add or update the email addresses to which these messages are sent by sending an email to QRPHelp@swingtech.com. Be sure to include your facility name and CMS Certification Number (CCN) along with any requested updates.” In the update, found here, CMS reminds hospices that to meet the HQRP requirements both Hospice Item Set and CAHPS Hospice Survey requirements must be submitted in a timely manner. In addition, a reminder that public reporting of hospice data is still frozen and will remain so through the November 2021 refresh.
