The defunct Skyline Healthcare nursing home chain, which fell apart over 2018 and 2019, was hit with a class action complaint accusing its owners and associated companies of running “an insurance scam” — and of violating the federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.
“The Skyline Enterprise engaged in a scheme to steal insurance premiums from its employees,” the complaint reads. “In total, the amount of premiums stolen is in excess of $2,000,000.”
