CMS has delayed awarding the new contract to a Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for the 12th Scope of Work, which includes dementia and quality improvement technical assistance for long-term care providers. KFMC and the Iowa Health Care Collaborative are both bidding on the contract that will cover Kansas. There have been no lay-offs at KFMC, but there have been some voluntary resignations, including Brenda Groves.

Over the years, Rachel has served in many volunteer roles in her community and in the state of Kansas to support senior needs, aging services education, and community mental health services. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund.
