We wanted to share with this group an article published in May 2018 on adult day services published in the Journal of Applied Gerontology. The article is included in the attached PDF.

The article discusses a recent study by leading researchers and practitioners in ADS to develop a set of uniform outcome measures. The measures were developed across three domains (participant well-being, caregiver well-being, and health care utilization). The study proposes using a uniform set of outcome measures to standardize data collection, aid in the development of ADS programming, and build the case for additional funding for ADS. The outcome measures proposed in the study (be sure to see the table of measures on page 7) could also be useful to ADS providers considering outcome measures for themselves.
