Aetna Better Health of Kansas has created a specialized email  box for provider claims issues that need to be escalated for an immediate review. The email address is ABHKSEscalations@AETNA.com. Please use this address if you have a claims or contract related issue that has not been addressed through your regional provider experience liaison.

Also, Aetna is extending certain transition of care practices through October 31, 2019.  Aetna Better Health of Kansas will process all claims with dates of service through October 31, 2019 for services requiring prior authorizations as if they are from participating providers.

Providers who are eligible to participate in Kansas Medicaid and not yet contracted with Aetna Better Health of Kansas will be paid as “in network” at 100% of the Medicaid fee for-service (FFS) rate through October 31, 2019.

Providers who are not yet contracted or credentialed with Aetna Better Health of Kansas do not need to prior-authorize every service until November 1, 2019. Until November 1, 2019, participating and nonparticipating providers alike should follow the plan’s service prior authorization/notification policies for participating providers.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, MA, and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas School of Law. Over the years, Rachel has served in many volunteer roles in her community and in the state of Kansas to support senior needs, aging services education, and community mental health services. She is also a member of the Board of Governors for the Kansas Health Care Stabilization Fund.
