Bluestem Communities will host one of its most popular events, the Bluestem Gala, on Thursday, Nov. 3rd, at 6:30 PM at the Meridian Center in Newton. Doors open at 5:45 PM.

The Bluestem Gala is an annual event of which the proceeds benefit the benevolent funds and help provide for the needs of residents and participants at each of the three Bluestem Communities organizations – Bluestem PACE with locations in McPherson and Hutchinson, Kidron Bethel Village in North Newton and Schowalter Villa in Hesston. The benevolent funds assist residents and participants who, due to unforeseen circumstances, are unable to cover the full cost of their care.

The Bluestem Gala will feature a catered meal by Water’s Edge Restaurant and Catering, a vacation raffle for two and entertainment featuring ventriloquist Greg Claassen, a national winner in the Bob Hope’s “Search for the Top” comedy talent competition. Registration is $150 per individual or $1,350 for a table of 10.

“We want this event to be an opportunity for individuals, couples, friends and family to enjoy an evening of food, drinks, conversation and laughter while supporting the mission of Bluestem Communities,” said Derek Yoder, Bluestem Communities Vice President of Advancement.

An exciting part of every Bluestem Gala is a raffle for a chance to win a vacation for two to one of two destinations. The 2022 destination options are Honolulu, Hawaii at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel, and Woodstock, Vermont at the Woodstock Inn and Resorts. Each trip is valued at a maximum of $3,500. Raffle tickets are $50 each or $100 for three tickets. Individuals must be present at the Bluestem Gala to win.

Meal reservations and raffle ticket purchases can be made at bluestemks.org/events by October 20th.
