CMS will host a nationwide call on the Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) program for Skilled Nursing Facilities on Thursday, November 16th from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. CMS will discuss how VBP will affect Medicare’s payments to skilled nursing facilities beginning October 1, 2018, including details on how CMS will translate performance on hospital readmission rates into rate adjustments under VBP.

Providers can register for the call, which is audio only.

Additional detail about the VBP program is available in the 2018 final rule on Medicare SNF rates that CMS released earlier this summer.
