On Tuesday, November 7th, KDADS sent out a notice outlining changes to HCBS services that go into effect November 11, 2023. The service changes are taking place due to the end of the public health emergency (PHE). Most HCBS Appendix K services will be returning to the requirements previously held, however, KDADS has filed an amendment for Personal Care Services allowing participants to continue receiving certain allowable services while living with a paid caregiver. They also allow the provision of electronic service delivery and electronic signing in certain situations. See the full list of changes here.
