PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America) is on the winners’ list in the 28th annual National Mature Media Awards Program.

The Mature Market Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for the senior market, recognizes the nation’s finest marketing, communications, educational materials, and programs designed and produced for older adults.

Recently the company announced its winners for the 28th Annual Mature Media Awards that included PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America) for the 9th consecutive year.

PMMA received a gold award for the 2019 Art is Ageless® Calendar. The newly redesigned Art is Ageless website, and the new PMMA giving site, were each named Merit award winners.

Art is Ageless is a trademarked program of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, a faith-based not-for-profit organization with 16 retirement communities and two hospices in Kansas and Missouri. Each community holds a juried art competition exclusively for people age 65 and older. Winning art is selected to appear in a calendar or note cards. Periodic programs and classes are held throughout the year to encourage seniors to express their creativity.

Art is Ageless began in 1981 when resident art was featured in the first Art is Ageless calendar.  Knowing how a creative outlet can benefit the mind, body and spirit is just one reason that in 2006 PMMA opened its Art is Ageless competition to all seniors in the area. The new giving website features stories about the organization’s donors and residents who benefit from PMMA’s philanthropic efforts.

The entries were judged by a distinguished panel of mature market experts from across the United States for overall excellence of design, content, creativity and relevance to the senior market.

PMMA began in Newton, Kan., 1949 and now has 16 senior living communities and two hospices in Kansas and Missouri, and a new community under development in Colorado. It offers independent and assisted living, long-term care, memory care, short-term rehabilitation, respite care and adult day services. Learn more about the nonprofit organization at PMMA.org.
