State Long-term Care Ombudsman Barb Hickert has sent a letter to all nursing home administrators about the new requirements to send all discharge notices to the Ombudsman’s office. The letter is a request that all notices be mailed, faxed or emailed to the Topeka office rather than directly to the regional.
