May is Older Americans Month and LeadingAge Kansas is celebrating by helping to raise awareness about several prominent issues important to seniors.  We will focus on the following issues this year:

  • Workforce
  • Ageism
  • Finding Services and Supports for Seniors
  • Advocacy
  • Our Collective Power of Purpose

We encourage you to tell your story this month and highlight the positives that are going on in your organization.  Here are a couple of ideas to get the creative juices flowing:

  1. Highlight one or more residents who have benefited from the services you provide
  2. Highlight one or more staff members and their stories about why they are in the field
  3. Highlight advocacy efforts your organization has taken on behalf of residents/clients
  4. Highlight the services you provide as solutions for seniors in your area
