On May 21, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released FAQs from a User Group Call that occurred on May 1 regarding submission of risk adjustment data for PACE and Medicare Advantage Organizations (MAOs). The User Group Call focused on the Use of Encounter Data in Overpayment Reruns.

From the call, attendees generated multiple questions on data submission in both the Risk Adjustment Processing System (RAPS) and the Encounter Data Processing System (EDPS). The systems have separate timelines and data elements for accepting submission. The FAQ outlines answers to the top questions and can be found here. More information from the User Groups and encounter and risk adjustment programs can be found at the Customer Service Support Center
