CMS released their mid-year updates to Spousal Impoverishment Standards to reflect the updates to the federal poverty level effective July. These changes will affect only the limits for the community spouse’s minimum monthly maintenance needs allowance (MMMNA) – the amount is used to calculate the community spouse’s housing and shelter allowance.
