The proposed Fiscal Year 2025 Hospice Wage Index proposed rule was published to the Federal Register on April 4, 2024. The rule proposes a 2.6% payment update and also includes a request for information on “high intensity palliative care services” and the long-awaited implementation of the Hospice Outcome and Patient Evaluation (HOPE) tool. LeadingAge will be submitting comments on the proposed rule, and we encourage members to do so as well. Comments on the rule are due to the Federal Register on May 28 and LeadingAge created a new members-only resource that includes tips and assistance for developing and submitting comments.
