The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) will host a Long-Term Care Townhall on May 22 at 12:00 PM CT on enhanced barrier precautions. This townhall is for anyone involved with or working in long-term care settings and will provide an overview of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs), discuss why MDROs are a significant concern in healthcare settings, discuss enhanced barrier precautions and their role in preventing the spread of MDROs, and address common questions surrounding infection prevention. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A with CDC.
