All primary contacts of LeadingAge Kansas members that provide nursing home or LTCU services were emailed the latest 5 Star Reports on Monday of this week.

The 5 newest Quality Measures are now weighted 100% up from a 50% weighting in the 5 Star components. This is incorporated into the latest 5 Star Analysis Report. If your Quality Measure Five Star Rating changed then this could have changed your overall Five Star Rating. Updates to your health inspection and staffing information could also be the cause of your overall Five Star Rating change.

You also received a new FREE Trend Report, which includes a set of static graphs that illustrates key trends over the past 3 years for QMs, adjusted staffing hours, weighted 3 cycle total health survey score, bed counts, resident count, and 5 star ratings. The report shows facility specific, county, state and national trends for each of the measures. The new report will allow staff to quickly see if their facility is moving in the desired direction on these key statistics. The Trend Report is linked to the 5 star report making it easy to move between the 2 reports. After each section of the 5 Star Report there is a red button with “Trend Report” on it. Clicking this button will take you to the Trend Report. You can navigate the report by scrolling down or by clicking one of the buttons at the top for a particular section.

We hope you find this new FREE report useful. If you have any comments or questions please contact Debra.
