LeadingAge Kansas is launching its first ever Careers in Aging Services Day to promote careers in aging services in Kansas. The goals are 3-fold:
- Promote careers in aging
- Connect potential students with aging services providers
- Raise the image of aging services with young people in Kansas
Careers in Aging Services Day will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 across the state. We will begin the day at 9:00 AM with a simulcast from LeadingAge Kansas to all members welcoming the students, explaining why this is important and launching them on their day.
We have developed a handy toolkit for members to use to prepare for the day. There is no set expectation on how you host the day in your building – we want it to meet your needs and serve your community’s culture. Members are doing actual shadow experiences, open houses and skills fairs.
Thank you to the following members who have let us know that they are going to be part of Careers in Aging Day
