Join us on this two-part series of a webinar and a Q&A session.

Webinar – May 5, 2020 | 2:00 – 3:00 PM
Q&A Session – May 12, 2020 | 2:00 – 3:00 PM

Trauma has become almost a universal experience. The effect of past trauma(s) can influence how we respond and connect to others and our environment. Long-term care staff must become knowledgeable in a trauma informed care approach. A careful assessment, knowledge of triggers, and de-escalation techniques are essential. This presentation will address some ways we can prevent re-traumatization and support mental health well-being. Case studies will be utilized to promote active learning and self-reflection.

A week after this session we will be having a follow up Q&A session. You must have taken part in the Webinar in order to be part of the Q&A session. Please submit any questions you have for Amy Siple to Nicole@leadingagekansas.org and Amy will take additional questions during that time.
