Whether you can’t wait to re-connect with long-time colleagues or you are looking to develop a new support system, our 2025 Spring Conference has several opportunities for attendees to network and collaborate with long-term care providers state-wide.
April 21 – Cycling Without Age: Pre-Conference Movie Night
Join your peers for a viewing of Cycling Without Age, a short film that shares the story of the worldwide non-profit program that has been providing long term care residents with companionship and safe access to the outdoors for over a decade. The social will take place from 6:30-8:30 PM. The screening will begin at 7:00, with discussion to follow, along with an optional evening walk around the Larksfield Place campus. After the screening, you will participate in a brief, casual discussion about ways to engage your residents creatively and get them outdoors. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Cycling Without Age is a film about the power of feeling the wind in your hair, no matter where you are on life’s journey. It follows the story of John, a retired teacher and his merry group of volunteers as they use pedal-powered rickshaws to give rides to those who have lost the ability to pedal themselves. Through the intimate moments of these rides, the film presents a unique portrait of aging: asking audiences to consider the importance of the outdoors for those who are all too often trapped inside. April 22 – Caught Connecting Expo
We can’t wait for you to join us at our revamped Spring Conference Expo! Visit with vendors new and old, purchase raffle tickets, enjoy lunch with peers, and relax with some de-stressing tools. The Expo will be at the Century II Convention Center from 10:45- 1:45 PM with lunch and dessert being provided in the Expo Hall. This will be the only Expo time during the conference (no extra walking back and forth)! You might even win a prize if you get “Caught Connecting” at the Expo!
April 22 – Mix & Mingle with DJ Trivia
After the first full day of the conference, relax and have fun during our Trivia Mix & Mingle! Grab a team of staff members or join a potluck team to show your expertise of random knowledge or just enjoy time with each other. Join us from 5:30-7:30 PM on April 22 for fun and fellowship. We will have snacks and drinks available, raffle prizes will be drawn, and trivia champions will rise!
April 23 – Collaboration Groups Lunch
During lunch on Wednesday, take time to connect casually with conference attendees in similar roles! We will provide simple ice breakers, but this lunch is intended for attendees to foster relationships and support systems, share ideas, and be creative with like-minded professionals. We will have dedicated tables for Clinical Care Professionals, Administrators/Executives, Business Office and Human Resources Professionals, Activities/Wellness Professionals, Dining & Environmental Services, and more.
