The Foundation for PA/LTC Medicine is seeking long-term care providers to participate in a study on the impact of the annual influenza vaccine choice on residents’ hospitalization risk for the 2016-2017 influenza season.  Nursing homes selected for this national quality improvement study will be allocated either the standard annual trivalent influenza vaccine or the adjuvanted trivalent influenza vaccine, Fluad.  Both of these vaccines are recommended by the CDC for annual protection against influenza infection in adults. Providers will receive a free supply for vaccine for the 2016-17 annual vaccination, compensation for data entry, and free supply of vaccine for staff.  For more information, call Insight Therapeutics, LLC at (757) 625-6040 or email H. Edward Davidson, PharmD, MPH, at edavidson@inther.com.
