Veto Session: The Sequel Begins Monday
I know we’ve said this before, but we really are very close to the end of the 2022 Kansas Legislative Session. This week the Court upheld the constitutionality of the maps, so legislators are not expected to be in Topeka long when they gavel into session on Monday morning.
Governor Vetoes Bills Limiting Public Health Emergency Responses and KanCare Contracts
Sub for SB 34 prohibits governmental entities or public officials from making face mask requirements as a response to a contagious or infectious disease and would prohibit COVID-19 vaccination passport. Government owned hospitals and adult care homes are exempted from the bill

The Legislature may attempt veto overrides on these bills next week.
