The state has published the final July 1st nursing facility Medicaid rates, reflecting the 4.5% cut to nursing homes announced by the Brownback administration two weeks ago. Keep in mind that these rates are exclusive of the Provider Assessment Pass-Through Adjustment, as well as incentives for low turnover, PEAK, etc.

LeadingAge Kansas, along with ten other health care provider associations, signed a letter that was sent to the Kansas legislature yesterday. The letter states our strong disagreement with their choice to balance the state budget on the back of our most poor and vulnerable, and warns of the threat to health care access stemming from KanCare cuts.
