LeadingAge will be releasing an updated Facility Assessment toolkit with resources in two phases. The first phase is expected to be released by June 10 and the second by July 8. The updates, new tools and resources will align with the Facility Assessment requirement published as part of the nursing home staffing mandate final rule. The staffing rule requires 24/7 onsite registered nurse (RN) coverage and minimum levels of total nurse staffing, registered nurses, and nurse aides in addition to an expansion of the Facility Assessment.
LeadingAge’s Facility Assessment toolkit is a members-only resource and can be found on the LeadingAge website under nursing home resources. Currently, the toolkit is updated from 2022, but may be used to prepare for the rule’s August 8 Facility Assessment deadline; the forthcoming toolkit will provide updates and enhancements. If there are any questions, please feel free to reach out to Janine Finck-Boyle.
