LeadingAge CAST has released an update to its latest portfolio of tools focusing on Electronic Health Records (EHRs) for Long-Term and Post-Acute Care. The portfolio is designed to help organizations understand issues surrounding Electronic Healthcare Records technology and outlines commercially available technology solutions, their uses and benefits, along with the most important functionalities, features, and planning steps care providers need to consider.
This year CAST added its new 7-Stage EHR Adoption model for Long-Term and Post-Acute Care (LTPAC). This is a generalized model that provides a framework to assess the level of adoption and sophistication of use, as opposed to just the overall rate of adoption of EHRs in Long-Term and Post-Acute Care. This 7-stage model is generic and is based on the types of functionalities, their sophistication and focus, as opposed to rigid specific functions.
