In a recent report published by the National Low-Income Housing Coalition, it was noted that a large portion of staff in senior living and long term care communities earn less than what it takes to be able to comfortably afford one or two-bedroom housing. The 2018 “Out of Reach” report based its findings on data from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in addition to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
