We are thrilled to introduce you to two new individuals who have joined our team to serve you.  Janet Powell is the new Receptionist/Front Office Assistant and Anne Setter is our new Continuing Education and Online Instructional Design Coordinator.

Janet actually joined us before the Spring Conference in a part-time capacity in April and has been a great asset to the team. You have likely already talked to her when calling into the office. She generally works afternoons 1-5 PM.

Janet is excited to take on a role that is new to her while learning about all of the different services offered to seniors. As the receptionist and office assistant, Janet will help members find the answers they’re looking for on the LeadingAge Kansas website, as well as coordinate office operations, and provide administrative support. She chose to work in aging services because she loves meeting new people, working with a great, closely-knit group, and having a unique opportunity to learn about the later stages of people’s lives. Much like her positive approach toward this new job, she loves tackling new projects in her free time, including cross-stitch and gardening. Janet can be reached at (785)233-7443.

Anne Setter brings a whole new level of knowledge to us that we have not had before. Her knowledge about online education coupled with her background in instructional design will completely change your experience with webinars and online education.

Anne is the Continuing Education and Online Instructional Design Coordinator. She has a Bachelors of Educations, MS – Instructional Design & Technology, and is certified in eLearning and online teaching. She aims to serve by coordinating and issuing CEUs in the easiest and most painless was possible. She will also assist members by coordinating, designing, and developing online learning opportunities for our members’ educational needs, securing an online learning platform that allows for easy and consistent access to anytime learning.

Anne manages back-end aspects of Continuing Education for LeadingAge Kansas, which include coordinating education event registration, preparing reports, distributing CEU certificates, marketing learning events and insuring an excellent experience for our members’ learning needs. She serves on the LeadingAge Kansas Education SWAT Team and assists in general clerical and administrative tasks.

Her favorite part of working at LeadingAge Kansas is being able to share her technical talents and experience with the team, and knowing it serves a greater purpose. She loves the mission of LeadingAge Kansas and knowing that she serves folks who directly impact the health and well-being of the Kansas Aging.

In her spare time, much to the chagrin of her husband, she’s a collector of all things techie, and is an avid online gamer.

You can contact Anne at anne@leadingagekansas.org or at 785.233.7443, ext. 106.
