KDADS is amending all the Kansas Medicaid 1915(c) Waivers: Autism (AU), Brain Injury (BI), Frail Elderly (FE), Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled (I/DD), Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED), Technology Assisted (TA), and Physically Disabled (PD) to cover an increase to the Protected Income Level to 300% of Supplemental Security Income. This amendment is to allow for waiver participants to gain access to the new Protected Income Level. The state sees no adverse effects to waiver participants. The change became effective July 1, 2021.
