On Monday, July 8, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services submitted the FY2025 Hospice Wage Index, Payment Rate Update, and Quality Reporting Requirements (CMS-1810) final rule to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review. OMB’s review is the final step before publication of any proposed or final rules. It is likely the hospice final rule will be formally published by the end of August. The outcome of the final rule will determine the next steps for implementation of the HOPE tool and changes to the Hospice CAHPS survey.
