With the vaccine doses being administered, hopes are high that things will return to “normal” both at work and in our personal lives soon. While the vaccine is promising, it will take time. CNAs cannot let their guard down and must continue to practice effective infection control procedures, proper PPE use and remain diligent about safety at work and beyond.
Let us help keep your CNA team vigilant with this OSHA grant-funded COVID-19 Safety for CNAs training series. The training will teach and reinforce critical COVID-19 safety concepts for CNAs. Your team will gain an understanding of the vital role they play in infection prevention, infection control and safety.
COVID-19 Safety for CNAs is a NO COST virtual training providing CNAs the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills through interactive training sessions with experts outside of your organization. This unique experience is a five-session training with limited trainees per group for maximum interaction and impact. It includes a different 90-minute training each week for five weeks. Multiple training cycles and times are available to accommodate your team’s needs.
- Week 1: COVID-19 101 and Self-care
- Week 2: PPE for COVID-19
- Week 3: Respiratory Protection
- Week 4: Employee & Employer Rights and Responsibilities
- Week 5: Putting it all Together
This training is not a listen and learn series. Designed specifically to meet the needs of CNAs, it will be engaging, interactive, informative and fun. Each training session will include content learning, hands-on activities, facilitated discussions or case studies to reinforce learning, develop skills and prepare the CNAs to practice and advocate for safety.
We all know CNAs play a significant role in COVID-19 prevention, identification and safety. This NO COST training is one more way to ensure they are equipped for the job. The first training group starts in early February and spaces are filling quickly. Sign your team up today by visiting COVID-19 Safety for CNAs Training Series Survey.
