CMS has finalized rules governing Home Health Agencies (HHAs.) Read the CMS Press Release.  The final rule includes new requirements related to:

  2. Comprehensive patient assessment
  3. Written information about upcoming visits, medication instructions, treatments administered, instructions for care, and contact information for an HHA clinical manager
  4. Integrated communication
  5. Data-driven QAPI program
  6. Infection prevention and control
  7. Skilled professional services across all disciplines
  8. Patient care coordination
  9. Organizational structure of HHAs
  10. Personnel qualifications for HHA administrators and clinical managers
