The LeadingAge Kansas Board has approved the association’s first-ever endorsement arrangement with a company that is not directly owned or affiliated with the association, KAMMCO.

KAMMCO is a member-directed insurance company providing innovative and flexible liability insurance protection and services for aging service providers, physicians, hospitals, nurses, and many other healthcare professionals.

Formed in 1989, KAMMCO has established a reputation of being pro-healthcare provider in the defense of claims, tireless in its efforts as an advocacy organization, and proactive in the development of loss prevention resources and educational opportunities. KAMMCO’s innovative business philosophy and its connection to insured members present the organization the ability to reinvest in the healthcare industry in a manner that benefits both its members and the patients they serve.

This ability to advocate for and assist members with the management of professional and business liability risks, the innovative use of education, and the reinvestment in healthcare advocacy organizations such as LeadingAge Kansas are what set KAMMCO apart as a leader in the healthcare professional liability market.

LeadingAge Kansas President/CEO said of the arrangement, “KAMMCO is the only Kansas-based and Kansas-only committed company of its kind with a long track record of supporting and advocating for its individual members. They have deep knowledge of the Kansas liability insurance regulatory environment, and are recognized as a trusted public policy advocate by the Kansas Legislature and state agencies. They have an affinity for nonprofit healthcare providers. With this arrangement, LeadingAge Kansas joins the Kansas Medical Society and the Kansas Hospital Association as KAMMCO’s collaborative association partners. We look forward to partnering with KAMMCO for the good of the association members they insure, and for all of our members.”
